Welcome to my studio.
The pieces you’ll find throughout this portfolio are inspired by the places I return to time and again—moss-covered forests, rocky shorelines, and weathered driftwood found along the coast of Vancouver Island. I create one-of-a kind vessels that reflect a connection to landscape, material, and time. Each piece is an invitation to slow down, look closely, and appreciate the unique character that emerges through the making process.
This unique collection of hand built vessels are shaped through an intuitive process of forming and carving, where surface, texture, and silhouette are allowed to emerge naturally.
Select vessels are fitted with driftwood handles, occasionally paired with handcrafted ceramic beads, while others are left unadorned to celebrate the tactile surface and expressive form of the clay. Natural jute cord binds each element together, creating a subtle, organic contrast that complements the stoneware and driftwood while allowing the materials to speak for themselves.
